COVER REVEAL: Death at Peony House by Krista Walsh

Hey, everyone! I’m SO excited to be a part of this cover reveal today! Not only is Krista a good friend of mine AND one of my favourite authors, but I may… kind of… sort of be 100% sure that this is a fantastic new series of urban fantasy novels.

I kind of have an in. All I’m saying.

I KNOW THINGS.

*ahem*

Anyway, the prequel novella, The Invisible Entente, is out now. And we’ll see Daphne’s story soon. And then… I can’t say. But it’s amazing. If you like your this-world fantasy brought to you with a side of classic mythology and amazing adventure, you definitely want to check this one out.

Details on this book below. But first, LOOK AT THIS COVER! Created by the ever amazing Ravven.

I love Ravven. *sigh*

ANYWAY. Check this out. Then grab your copy of The Invisible Entente (free with Kindle Unlimited!) so you’ll be ready for this one when it comes out on September 20 (!!!!!!)

Sorceress and journalist Daphne Heartstone heads to Peony House, the city’s abandoned hospital, in search of a headline, but what she discovers is a dead body and a clue to a hundred-and-fifty-year-old cold case.

Detective Hunter Avery, the man Daphne loved and lost, warns her away from the case, but the ghosts of Peony House have demanded her help, and her job is on the line if she doesn’t have a story on her editor’s desk for Saturday’s edition.

Daphne has worked hard to escape her past of dark magic and blind ambition, but as she walks the balance between light and dark, she’ll learn how many promises she’s willing to break to protect the people she loves.

Oooooooooh!

BONUS: I just found out that Krista has got the release party set up! This is a Facebook event, so you can attend from wherever you are, wear whatever you want, eat and drink what you like, and not have to talk to anyone in person. In other words, the perfect party. Here’s the link. Click “interested” and “going” to get updates.

COVER REVEAL: Bladelore (Krista Walsh)

Hey, everyone!

I’m so excited to be able to share this cover reveal with you today, along with some exciting news from the author. Because honestly, who DOESN’T want to be a part of unleashing something beautiful on the world? Especially when it happens to involve the conclusion to a wonderful story.

I mean, really.

Ready?

Introducing… Bladelore.

Bladelore-lores

War has come to Andvell. Enemy after enemy takes its place along the northern border, each one a terrifying result of dark magic and experimentation. In the face of the great army, Andvell’s resources are few.

As the enemy marches, unlikely hero Venn Connell must act or be lost in the flood — one final mission to end the war, no matter the cost.

Standing on the brink of devastation, Venn is forced to question her most deeply held beliefs and trust her friends to see her through the darkness.

EEEEEEEEP. (Lovely cover art by Jeff Brown)

Okay, now for the other exciting news. To celebrate the upcoming release of Bladelore this spring (exact date TBD, but I’ll keep you posted), book one of the Cadis trilogy is going to be on sale this coming week for 99 cents!

I’m like, 99% sure it’s to celebrate my birthday, actually, but Ms Walsh hasn’t commented on that.

Cover Reveal: BLOODLORE by Krista Walsh

Hey, guys! I’m super excited to have a cover reveal for you this week.

Not just because I like doing cover reveals and getting the word out about new books.

Not just because I’ve adored this author’s previous books, either.

No, it’s because this cover is FLIPPING GORGEOUS.

Cover

Eh? EH?

That lovely art is by Jeff Brown, with typography by Colin F. Barnes. LOOOOOVE IIIIIIIT.

Here’s more about the book. We don’t have an exact release date for Bloodlore yet, aside from “the week of May 25” (so close!), but the Meratis trilogy could keep you busy until then. First one’s free, man. Click here!

Venn Connell is bored.

When the Andvellian ambassador in Margolin goes missing, she jumps at the chance to find him, but quickly learns the mystery goes deeper than one missing courtier.

With border tensions rising, a man vanishing before her eyes with a relic she believed lost, red-clad soldiers out for blood, and something dark following her from the charred ruins of Treevale fortress, Venn becomes a pawn in an unseen game.

Forced to confront her past and question her future, Venn knows she has to tread carefully. One wrong move and she could lose herself in the shadows, and hurl her country into war.

If you’ve read the Meratis trilogy, you know Venn. This should be good.

Jeff Powell wants nothing more than to leave his adventures behind him, but he owes a debt and the Sisters intend to collect, no matter the cost. Stealing Cassie in exchange for Jeff’s returned imagination, he and Venn are enlisted to save Andvell from destruction.

With Brady’s mind being taken over by Talfyr’s, Jasmine unwell, and Jayden brooding over his broken heart, Jeff must rely on the strength of their friendship to find Cassie and save multiple worlds from being torn apart by growing rifts in the Veil.

As the doorway between worlds closes, Jeff needs to choose which side he’ll end up on, and what he’s willing to give up before the end.

So there you have it! If you’d like to get caught up on the story, the author has the sales links posted here.

COVER REVEAL- Evensong, by Krista Walsh

It is my great pleasure to present to all of you… Evensong. I received an ARC of this book from the author last month, and devoured it. It’s exciting, absorbing, and filled with kick-ass characters (and some who kick less ass, but are nonetheless wonderful). I’ll have a proper review for you closer to the release date, which is February 10 (eek!). For now, the official information, and the beautiful cover:

Evensong-Cover-V1-lowResWeb[1]

Author Jeff Powell wakes up to find the impossible has happened. He is within his own novel—summoned into the fictional world of Feldall’s Keep by a spell he didn’t write. One the House enchantress hasn’t figured out how to reverse.

When the villain he’s been struggling to write reveals himself, unleashing waves of terror and chaos, Jeff must use more than his imagination to save the characters he created—and the woman he loves.

Trapped within a world of his own creation, he must step outside the bounds of his narrative to help his characters defeat an evil no one anticipated, even if he must sacrifice his greatest gift. In the end, he has to ask: are novels really fiction, or windows into other worlds?
